        Acquarello monocromo e penna su carta pesante. Riquadrato a penna. Foglio 162x234 mm; Immagine 157x231 mm. Ottimo stato di conservazione. Veduta prospettica con colonne, palazzi, statue, di ispirazione romana. Antonio Acquaroni, nato a Civitavecchia, disegnatore e incisore, fu al servizio della Calcografia Camerale e le sue stampe furono apprezzate soprattutto per il lato documentario della città. Allorché la Calcografia Camerale volle arricchire il suo fondo di vedute romane, lo chiamò a far parte dei suoi collaboratori ordinari. Così il nome dell'Acquaroni si vide comparire, accanto a quelli di G. Balzar, di F.M. Giuntotardi, di A. Testa, di F. Troiani, in una raccolta di Vedute di monumenti antichi e moderni, uscita nel 1829, e poi in altre raccolte antologiche, fino a quella (1864) della cosiddetta Scenografia dei più celebri Monumenti sacri e profani antichi e moderni di Roma e adiacenze.
