Tektas Agaoglu Sold at Auction Prices

Today we are proud of a very valuable brother, our grown-up, our companion, eternity. Let's all be right in our heads.

We all know him first by translating. Sholohov's "And The Stagnant Akardi Don" novel and other translations brought people of other worlds together, and made some of us.

After 1960, there was a period when the inhabitants of socialism had met broadly and art was enriching the discourse of politics in literature; we saw the traces of the style that was part of the personality throughout the life in the articles in the magazines and newspapers.

At that time the Marxists were published in the successive translations of classic Solitaire Turkey Agaoglu was a member of the Labor Party and turned many books, including The Communist Manifesto. Because of this translation, he spent five months in prison on March 12.

Following the 12 March Turkey has supported the work of the Socialist Workers Party organizations, Policy and Mass writings in the magazine began to take place. After the foundation of the party, he became a member of the Editorial Board.

In the first congress in 1976, he was elected as a member of the Central Executive Committee and served as a manager until the Party closed.

In those years, the repressive attitudes of the Nationalist Front governments were intensified, and the editorial chiefs began to be arrested. Party executives took responsibility for broadcasting; Yalçin Yusufoglu Mass , Tektas Agaoglu became the publication director of the Real Gazette. Both were arrested and imprisoned for a long time.

Tektas Agaoglu Toptasi He spent one year in prison, during which time his party became candidate for Mayor of Istanbul. He was inside, the posters were on the street.

They were those who enrich the discourse of the Party with their writings and talks. In December 1978, you will remember to talk to the party at the second congress on the leftist union; the political discourse was a powerful, extremely important and insignificant talk.

In the 1979 elections, the senator was one of our candidates.

He stayed abroad for a long time after September 12th. Party participated in Swiss studies. The writings he has been sent from Europe are published in the journal Thinking and Opinion .

Upon his return to Turkey also created towards the left of the unity of the SBP, the BSP and took part in the ODP. Some of them are administrators, some of them are members of the Editorial Board ...

And he was the most enthusiastic entrepreneur of the Cranberry Magazine.

It can not be said to be easy to write, it keeps on every culmination meticulously, it passes over and over again, it makes corrections, meanwhile it constantly wanders, smoking on cigarettes. He liked short grin letters and took them very carefully.

Even when you wrote with different names, you would immediately notice the blended style of the old dille, enriching the left discourse with its literary contribution.

Years later, when the painting and sculpture started again, the performance was extraordinary. When we saw his paintings, his little statuettes, we felt once again how he had a rich inner world.

Dealing with politics intensely required a break in such an artwork, and he undertook it without regret.

Until his last breath, he thought about, wrote, wrote about socialism.

Many of our daughters entered their lives at different times and environments, enriching us with their presence.

We participated in countless meetings together in the party administrations for many years. We fought together, we were each other, we loved each other, we fought, we were peaceful.

We did not just do politics together, we shared a life. We were members of a large family. Tektas Agabey My wife was witness, my brother, I was growing up.

I am honored to be a friend, a comrade, to be able to identify himself and his family.

I bow with respect in front of my memory.
