Dancer is boldly painted in the artist's distinctive style with naÃ¯ve influences using mixed media. Bob 'Sick' Yudhita Agung, who calls himself 'Vincent van Bob', paints in the Primitive-NaÃ¯ve vein with the graffiti of Jean-Michel Basquiat. He studied at the Indonesian Institute of Art in Yogyakarta where he received the Affandi Award in 1994. He was in the same batch as Ugo Untoro and S. Teddy D. His style is somewhat a bit like A.R. Penck, Eddie Hara and Malaysia's Chong Hip Seng. He showed with his former wife, Widi, at the Green Art Space in Yogyakarta in 2016. "I believe I can fly, with paint I believe can fly. Don't worry be happy," is his favourite refrain.

They look like strange bedfellows, the women whether shown full-figure or just with their faces or with tudung. Bob 'Sick' Yudhita Agung's work, Sahabat Abu, seems like an Indonesian take of Picasso's Les Demoiselles d' Avignon (The Young Ladies Of Avignon, 1907, originally The Prostitutes Of Avignon). It has the same African mask-like faces, while the one standing on the right has dark skin and with her right hand bifurcating into legs. The one on top in the middle sports a tattoo face while two heads on the left look like busybody aunties. Is the one in a green cocoon the 'mamasan'? Heavily influenced by Jean-Michel Basquiat and pop culture such as music and tattoo art, Bob Yudhita Agung’s paintings feature bold lines and vibrant colours depicting stylised figures with social connotations. Lady Muray illustrates female nudes in the style of Fauvism displaying primeval qualities in a contemporary manner. Also known as Bob Sick, Bob Yudhita Agung attended the Indonesian Institute of Arts in Yogyakarta from 1991 to 1998. He has exhibited widely in Indonesia and is the recipient of the prestigious Affandi Prize in 1994. In April 2019, Vallette Gallery in Kuala Lumpur presented a solo exhibition entitled Sick: An Exploration Of The Human Condition by Bob Yudhita Agung a.k.a Bob Sick.
