Ross Albrighton, Oil Painter - Ross is a 2005 graduate of the Lyme Academy of Fine Art and has already built a strong following for his lively sense of shape, value and color harmony. “I love the immediacy of painting from life, especially outdoors. Because the light changes so fast, I need to capture the essence of the place very quickly, which gives my work a vibrant quality; one free from being overworked or fussy.”

This South Carolina native now lives in East Lyme and admits that he is captivated by the atmosphere and light of the region, created by the tidal marshes of the Connecticut River Delta, which empties into Long Island Sound, which is the foundation of the artistic heritage of the Old Lyme Art Colony that flourish over 100 years ago.
