    Sibyl Anikeef (1896 - 1997). “Ranch, 1932.” 4 5/8 x 6 5/8 vintage gelatin silver print on a thin board mount, signed and titled by her on the verso. Anikeef was a student of and model for Edward Weston. She married the Russian opera singer Vasia Anikeyev in the 1920’s. [See next lot.] The couple moved to the Monterey Peninsula, where she made many photographs. She became the project photographer for the Federal Art Project in the peninsula. SFMOMA has a number of her photographs.
