Jorge Ivan Arango began his artistic life at the age of 27. He studied at different universities in Peru, Mexico, United States and Italy, such subjects as anatomy as an amphitheater, human figure, engraving, sculpture in stone and bronze, Japanese ceramics and other disciplines. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Graphic Design (1976) at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University. During trips to Mexico and Peru he conducted research relating to pre-hispanic cultures and took courses. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Graphic Design (1976) at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University. During trips to Mexico and Peru he conducted research relating to pre-hispanic cultures and took courses. He died on March 19, 2009 at 61 years of age in the city of Medellin of cardiac arrest. He inherited the memory of silletero Antioquia that with brush, geometry and color became the main theme of their unique and original works, genre, technique and style are his own. This man was considered a new proposal from the world of art worthy of admiration from all Colombians. His Magnum Opus The Mural Of Caaveral is the largest mural and is in his hometown, Bucaramanga, which reaches four hundred meters. Overall Size: 57 x 63 in. Sight Size: 54 x 60 in.
