      Untitled Oil on Canvas Signed lower right 24,1 x 34,3 in framed The stylistic device of reduction, so as not to distract from the essential, is central to the work of Hubert Aratym and can be seen in this work. Furthermore, the artist worked as a stage designer in Berlin and at the Vienna Volkstheater, among other places, and these stage-set-like moments can be found in the painterly work. Wrinkled forms, reminiscent of theater curtains, are set next to leafy structures. Furthermore, the color scheme stands out, which is composed of dark, earthy tones and strong colors.
