      LUIS ARENAL (Teapa, Tabasco, 1909 - Ciudad de México, 1985) Niña cargando leña Firmada y fechada 53 Piroxilina sobre masonite Con certificado de Galería 10 / 10. Exhibida en la pasada exposición retrospectiva de Luis Arenal. Presenta detalles de conservación. Entre las disciplinas que estudió se encontró la ingeniería mecánica, el derecho y la escultura. En 1934 fue miembro fundador y primer secretario de la Liga de Escritores y Artistas Revolucionarios. Comenzó su carrera artística exponiendo y pintando murales en California. En 1936 se trasladó a Nueva York para una reunión política y se mantuvo ahí hasta 1937, pintando murales en el Bellevue Hospital Center. A su regreso, en 1937, fundó el Taller de Gráfica Popular con Leopoldo Méndez y Pablo O'Higgins, participando en todas las exposiciones colectivas de la organización. En 1937, trabajó con Siqueiros en los murales Retrato de la Burguesía (en el Sindicato Mexicano de Electricistas) y La Marcha de la Humanidad (en el Polyforum).
