Charles Arnoldi o.T. aus: String Theory. 2016. Polymer gravure with etching and photo-etching on strong wove paper. Signed, dated and numbered. - very few, very slight crease marks in two margins, verso slight handling trace on upper right, all in all very good and impeccably nice. Splendid, wonderfully nuanced and colour-fresh impression of the large-sized, informal composition with clearly impressed plate mark and wide margin. - One of 45 copies. - Print by Peter Kosowicz, publ. by Thumbprint Editions, London. - The American artist Charles Arnoldi is known for his work with unconventional materials. He specialises in the newly modern process of polymer intaglio printing, in which a polymer plate consisting of a thin metal carrier is coated with a light-sensitive plastic layer. The print is based on a photographic template, which is applied to the plate by manual or technical exposure to UV light, developed and printed in gravure. Arnoldi's highly spontaneous graphic idea is ideally realised, with expressive strokes merging into an informal composition. The interweaving of the lines evokes associations with the infinity of the universe and unfolds a broad spectrum of perception. Eines von 45 Exemplaren. - Gedruckt bei Peter Kosowicz, hrsg. v. Thumbprint Editions, London.
