Signed "Robert Arthur", inscribed Ogunquit and dated 1900 (II). 6 3/4" x 12 1/2" visible, 12 1/2" x 18 1/4" framed. Robert Arthur studied art in Antwerp and Paris, where he was an intimate friend of Robert Louis Stevenson. Summered at Ogunquit, Maine, where he had his studio. He was a member of the Century Cl. and the Salma Cl.
