    In 1895, The Hardy Brother's Tackle Company began carving custom fish trophy plaques for their customers in London. Harry Ashford was employed as a fish carver from 1907-1914. The majority of his work was unsigned; trophy information is listed on the backboard. This well carved and painted salmon is mounted on a contemporary 34 by 11 inch walnut backboard.
