John Bader Art for Sale at Auction

b. 1938 -

John Bader studied at Auburn University, Ala., where he received an AB degree in 1960. Bader is well-known for super realism in paintings of the urban landscape that have been displayed at the Denver Art Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Modern Art, Lending Service; the Cooper-Hewitt Museum; High Museum, Atlanta, Philbrook Art Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Danforth Museum in Framingtham, MA and many other establishments in the U.S. as well as in the Kunstgewerbemuseum, Zurich and the Museum of the City of New York. Bader’s fondness for and attraction to American Diners forms the central theme of his highly realistic paintings in oils that have been published under the subject of Diners by Harry N. Abrams Inc, New York in 1978 and in a book entitled Gas, Food and Lodging, by Abbeville Press, 1982. His mailing address is 1025 Overton Lea Road; Nashville, TN.
