Patrica Brown Bannister Art for Sale at Auction

Painter, Sculptor, b. 1929 - d. 2013

Born in London, Pati Bannister came to America at age 22 having attended art school since the age of 14. She was an illustrator for children's books and Riding magazine and worked as an animator for film maker, J. Arthur Rank. Wanting to travel, she went to Miami to work as a flight attendant where she met her future husband, Glynn Bannister. The couple moved to New Orleans in 1958, and she sold her originals and Pati Bannister prints in Jackson Square. Her talent for realism art and his business sense eventually led to the opening of two galleries in the French Quarter, and perusal of Pati Bannister's price lists at the time show her great success.

In the 1970s, the Bannister's settled on land overlooking a wildlife sanctuary on Mississippi's Gulf Coast, which led to many outstanding landscape paintings, to the delight of her enthusiastic public. Pati Bannister's prints, bronze sculptures, and the imaginative portraits of young girls are noted for their sense of magical realism. Pati Bannister's prints for sale captures mood and mystique in a world of unique beauty. You can find the perfect addition to your collection with landscape paintings at Invaluable.
