The basis of Tomasz Baran’s art is a profound reflection on art history. The artist consistently researches abstraction in painting – reworking and quoting its forms. The results are large-format pieces that combine geometric rigour with the lightness of the painterly gesture. Tomasz Baran graduated from the National College of Fine Arts in Rzeszów and studied painting at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts. He has had solo exhibitions at galleries such as f.a.i.t and Delikatesy in Cracow.
