      GEORGE BARNARD (UK, 1815-1890) Three Studies of English Gentlemen, ink studies in one frame, ca. 1880, by illustrator George Barnard, only the largest of the three is signed, and has a caption that reads ''Gymnastics extraordinary! Merciless Wag (to old gentleman who has just come a fearful cropper over a bit of banana peel) "Would you mind doing that over again sir? My friend here didn''t see it."'' In gilt molded stick frame, triple window mat, SS: 4" x 6 1/2" & 8 1/4" x 9 3/4", OS: 21 1/4" x 15 1/4". Good condition, minor toning.
