Provenance, documented by newspaper article and correspondence, confirms a local fisherman pulled plaque from Yakima River (WA State) prior to 1954. Sold at auction in 1954 to current owner's grandfather, since remaining in the family. A collector of medieval art, George Barnard was a prolific sculptor with works in Metropolitan Museum, public installations, private collections. 17"H x 42"W x 0.25"D. Weight appx. 50 lb.; extra shipping and handling required.

Documented provenance supported by newspaper article and correspondence, confirms plaque was pulled from Yakima River in WA State prior to 1954 by a local fisherman. Sold at auction in 1954 to current owner's grandfather and has remained in the family. A collector of medieval art, George Barnard was a prolific sculptor with works currently in Metropolitan Museum, NY, public installations and private collections. Plaque weight approx 50 lbs; 17"H x 42"W x .25"D. Additional shipping and handling will be required.
