      Est: $10,000 - $15,000

William Barraud (1810-1850) painted this oil portrait of "Gypsy and Fairy", of Lord Methuen's Charles Spaniels. It is signed and dated on the base of the urn, "W. Barraud", with an indistinct (1848?) date. Barraud was best known as an engraver. His first painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1828 when he was eighteen, where he continued exhibiting for over fifty times. The painting is not disturbed from its original frame seating, but was relined recently. Shipping: We are unable to ship this item.
