Australian artist Del Kathryn Barton (b.1972) is best-known for her brightly colored, acrylic figural paintings; many of them show sober faces with large round eyes. Del Kathryn Barton's paintings depict the human form, and they're created with special attention to the emotional makeup of her subject. In 2008 and 2011, Del Kathryn Barton's artwork won the Archibald Prize from the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Her 2011 entry was a painting of famous actress Cate Blanchett and her children.
