        Glenn F. Bastian (1890-1966) was a well known Gary, Lake County, Indiana artist. His works are held in numerous Indiana collections as well as the Gas City Museum in Gas City, Indiana. This late summer or fall scene shows a pond or lake edge with approaching fall colors with a glorious painted sky in the background. Mr. Bastian was well known for his landscapes, winning numerous awards for his work. The painting is in the original frame and is in excellent condition, artwork size is 34" wide by 26" tall, framed dimensions are 40" wide by 32" tall. Oil on board, ready to take a stroll along a lane to get to this image, even the original paper backing is still on the back possibly covering a name or site of the painting.
