Engraving (after Lucas van LEYDEN?), 27,6x20,8 cm., monogrammed "L", w. the address of Cornelis van Sichem. - Ample margins. = On laid paper with large unidentified elaborate watermark. Probably a pseudo copy after Van Leyden. The monogram suggests this print is after Lucas Van Leyden, but the print with the same subject has a different composition. And there are no other compositions by van Leyden similar to this. Hollstein 13.

        A print from 'The Four Season', one of the nicest sea and rivers capes from the golden age: Summer. Riverscape with a sailing boat at left, peasants unloading hay from small boats on both river-banks, one of these boats about to reach shore in lower right corner, some larger ships and buildings in background at right; after Cornelis Claesz van Wieringen. c.1613-1618 known for his superb landscapes. Engraved by De Baudois (1574-1659) and published by Hendrick Laurentsz around 1613-1618.
