        THOMAS MANN BAYNES The Adventures of a Fox by Moonlight. London: R. Ackermann, 1 February 1836. Oblong 2° (348 x 253mm), 6 hand-coloured lithographic plates by and after Baynes, printed by C. Hullmandel, interleaved, later red half morocco, upper cover titled in gilt, top edges gilt (joints rubbed and slightly split, corners rubbed). Provenance: tipped-in catalogue description, inscribed in pencil "Anderson's March 15 1910 BB". A CHARMING SERIES OF PLATES, originally issued in wrappers but without title-page. The verse narrative is lithographed beneath the plates themselves which are on wove paper without watermark. SCARCE. No sale recorded in ABPC since 1989.
