    Est: $1,000 - $2,000

This pair of oil paintings are attributed to James Henry Beard (1811-1893) framed oils on canvas. Per family letter these antique oil paintings were executed by Beard. They were found in an Olcott family box of paraphernalia. Wrapped inside the note was a small photo of a larger Beard painting the consignor still owns. Their mother had told them the painter that did the large portrait was the same painter that did the lot here. They are believed to be images of the sister and aunt of the 2 brothers in the larger portrait. Both measure 20.5" x 16.5 (image) and 28.25" x 24.25" framed. One needs a cleaning but appears original with no damage or repairs. Second one has a tear right of center. We ship most items in-house with the exception of furniture, large or heavy artwork, heavier items or extremely fragile items.
