      Wilhelm Amandus BEER (1837-1907). Paysans russes se reposant au champ dans un paysage de tentes. Huile sur panneau signée en bas à droite en caractères latins et datée 1900. Conservée dans un bel encadrement en bois doré à décor canelé et passepartout de couleur cramoisi. Porte au dos du panneau un tampon de magasin allemand (J. P. Schneider JR à Francfort) et une étiquette de collection 2491 et au dos du cadre une étiquette de magasin allemand. Bon état. Dim. à vue: H. 19 x L. 47.5. Dim. hors-tout: H. 47 x L. 75 cm. Historique: Wilhelm Beer étudia à l’Institut d’art Städel où il devint professeur en 1897. En 1857 il visita Munich et les Alpes puis Vienne. Ses voyages répétés en Russie furent cependant remarqués par la critique. Lors de séjours plus longs dans les années 1867-1870 et en 1877 dans le gouvernorat de Smolensk (et surtout dans la propriété du peintre Sergei Andreïévitch von Baryschnikov) Beer étudia en détail les caractéristiques du pays et de ses habitants. Son penchant pour la représentation de scènes de la vie populaire russe lui a valu le surnom de « Beer le Russe ». Вильгельм Амандус БИР (1837–1907). Русские крестьяне отдыхают в поле среди палаток. Масло на панели подпись внизу справа латинскими буквами и дата 1900 года. Сохранилось в красивой позолоченной деревянной раме с рифленым декором и паспарту малинового цвета. На обратной стороне панели имеется клеймо немецкого магазина (J.P. Schneider JR во Франкфурте) и коллекционная этикетка 2491 а на обратной стороне рамы - этикетка немецкого магазина. Хорошее состояние. Габаритные размеры: В. 19 x Д. 47 5. Габаритные размеры: В. 47 х Д. 75 см. История: Вильгельм Бир учился в Художественном институте Штеделя где стал профессором в 1897 году. В 1857 году он посетил Мюнхен и Альпы затем Вену. Однако его неоднократные поездки в Россию были отмечены критиками. Во время длительного пребывания в 1867-1870 и в 1877 годах в Смоленской губернии (и особенно в имении художника Сергея Андреевича фон Барышникова) Бер подробно изучал особенности страны и ее жителей. За склонность к изображению сцен из народной русской жизни он получил прозвище «Русское пиво».

Der Künstler studierte am Städelschen Kunstinstitut in Frankfurt bei Jakob Becker und Edward von Steinle. Prägend für Beers Oeuvre waren seine wiederholten Reisen nach Russland, während längerer Aufenthalte 1867-1870 und 1877 im Gouvernement Smolensk studierte Beer eingehend Land und Leute. Durch die danach von ihm häufig gemalten Motive aus dem russischen Volksleben wurde er auch "Russen-Beer" genannt. 1897 berief man Beer zum Leiter eines Meisterateliers im Städelschen Kunstinstitut und ernannte ihn 1899 zum Professor.
