It shows a shot partridge hung upside down by its legs. This traditional way of storing game meat was used to develope the ‘Hautgout’. The detailed oil painting is reminiscent in style of the old Masters. The painting is signed ‘M.O. Beijer’ on the lower right. It shows distinct framing marks.
