Originaltitel Stahl und runde Glasscheibe mit sechs eingeschliffenen Verkleinerungslinsen. Sign. "Feliciano Bejar" u. dat. 1989. Charakteristische, in der Form einer Monstranz gestaltete Arbeit des mexikanischen Bildhauers, der insbesondere durch solche "Magiskope" aus montierten Schrottelementen und Linsen-Scheiben bekannt wurde, die mit Licht und verzerrten Eindrücken spielen. Béjar, der lange Jahre in New York und Europa lebte, begann 1964/65 mit seinen "Magiskop"-Skulpturen, die er 1966 erstmals in Mexiko City und in der Mappin Art Gallery in Sheffield ausstellte, 1970 auch in der bedeutenden Grosvenor Gallery in London. Presenta rasgadura y detalles de conservación. Fue un artista autodidacta que recurrió a distintas técnicas, materiales plásticos y artesanales además de ser el creador de los Magiscopios. Participó en más de 125 exposiciones individuales y colectivas, su obra se puede encontrar en más de setenta y cinco museos en México, Brasil, Estados Unidos, Canadá, Colombia, Francia, Israel y Gran Bretaña. Realizó una exposición individual en Nueva York como pintor y en 1949 recibió una beca por la UNESCO para ir a París. La UNESCO, produjo en 1964, la película "El mundo de Feliciano Béjar", que se estrenó en Nueva York en 1966. A sculpture composed of repurposed iron auto and industrial parts to form a tall shaft resembling a skeletal spine, surmounted with a cut glass lens with 50 overlapping concave and convex circles that create magnified and altered images when peered through, the lens encircled by sawtooth iron ring.
