A lithograph in colors by twentieth century French artist Bernard Buffet, signed and dated by the artist on the lower right. The composition depicts the Parisian Canal St. Martin which connects the Canal de l'Ourcq to the river Seine and actually runs underground between Paris Metro stops Bastille and Republique. A lovely scene featuring a bridge over the canal reflected in the waters below surrounded by trees and several edifices - all below the azure blue skies marked with black swirls to suggest gentle breezes.
