      IN THE STYLE OF BIAN WENJIN (CA. 1354-1428) China, ca. 16th c. 68 x 58,8 cm Auspicious Deer. Ink and light colors on silk, mounted as hanging scroll. Later inscribed: "Happiness, prosperity and hundred years. In the fourth month of the gengzi year of the Qianlong era (1780), Bian Jingzhao." One seal of the artist. From the estate of the collections of Consul General Heinrich Betz (1873-1957) and his son Erwin Betz (Tianjin 1907 - Bonn 1982), assembled in China before 1945, sold from a family member at Nagel, 14.5.1999, lot 1209b Bian Wenjin, style name Jingzhao, was a court painter of the Yongle era of the Ming dynasty (1403-1424). He was a famous master of flower and bird painting in the academic style. The painting functioned as a typical birthday gift for a high aged gentleman - Traces of age. restorations Im Stil von Bian Wenjin (ca. 1354-1428) China, ca. 16. Jh. 68 x 58,8 cm Verheißungsvoller Hirsch. Tusche und helle Farben auf Seide, als hängende Schriftrolle montiert. Später beschriftet: "Glück, Wohlstand und hundert Jahre. Im vierten Monat des Gengzi-Jahres der Qianlong-Ära (1780), Bian Jingzhao." Ein Siegel des Künstlers. Aus dem Nachlass der Sammlungen von Generalkonsul Heinrich Betz (1873-1957) und seinem Sohn Erwin Betz (Tianjin 1907 - Bonn 1982), zusammengetragen in China vor 1945, verkauft von einem Familienmitglied bei Nagel, 14.5.1999, Los 1209b Bian Wenjin, Stilname Jingzhao, war ein Hofmaler der Yongle-Ära der Ming-Dynastie (1403-1424).
