      AARON BIRNBAUM (American, 1895-1998) "This is Before Social Security" circa 1985 - Mixed media on canvas. Signed lower right. 24 x 18 inches. Good condition, some handling marks noted, some craquelure in thickest layer of lower section, other patina and unusual marks are integral and typical of Birnbaum's work and choice of mediums. Purchased by the current owner (Regina) in the 1990s in New York from gallerist Nadia Sztendera.
