Robust rafters and brickwork define the space, while a centrally placed window lets in light that subtly emphasises shapes and surfaces. Accentuated by the contrast of light and shadow, an atmosphere of stillness and abandoned timelessness is created. Individual furnishings silently tell of human presence.
