Titled, dated and signed in pencil with photographer's credit stamp on the verso It is always interesting to juxtapose the works of Lev Borodulin with those of his son Sasha. The former, in fact, was one of the greatest international interpreters of sports photography, whose athletic gestures he was able to capture with an even more admirable sense of composition if we consider the means and equipment that in the 1960s were quite different from those now available. Alexander 'Sasha' Borodulin, who moved to the United States, successfully devoted himself to portraiture and fashion photography, but it is his ability to dominate the sense of space that makes us realise how much of his father's lesson he took on board.
