      445. JOHN BOSTOCK (1773-1846) British physician, first accurately described hay fever as a disease that affected the upper respiratory tract, studied allergic reactions. Good content A.L.S., 1p. 8vo., [n.p., n.d.], to a fellow physician sending publications, adding: "...You will only find the urinary calculus...in the form in which it was discharged. A hasty examination of it led me to think it was soluble neither in Potash nor muriatic acid..." Slight toning, else very good. $150-200
