Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) was a famed Florentine Early Renaissance painter who worked in tempera and oils. Sandro Botticelli's artwork includes life-size depictions of allegories and myths, such as his masterpieces The Birth of Venus, Venus and Mars, and Primavera. The subjects of Sandro Botticelli's portraits were often members of his patron Medici family and their inner circle.
