    Breker, Arno. St. Georg Drachentöter und die tanzende Tochter des Königs von Kappadokien. 2 Medaillon-Plaketten aus gestähltem, gehämmerten Gusseisen. Durchmesser jeweils 14,3 cm. Eine Plakette im rechten Rand signiert "A. BREKER". Berlin 1951-1955. -- Der Legende nach wurde das Königreich Kappadokien in Kleinasien von einem feuerspeienden Drachen heimgesucht, dem die Tochter des Königs als Opfer zur Besänftigung anheimfiel. Als Ritter kam ihr Georg zur Hilf, der den Drachen erlegte, die Königstochter befreite und ihr die Lebensfreude zurückgab, nachdem er Gottes Hilfe in Anspruch genommen hatte. Verso beide mit dem Stempel "Buderus 1731" und mit Öse für die Aufhängung. – Vereinzelte Kratzer, sonst sehr schön erhalten, ausgezeichnete Güsse in bester Erhaltung.

The original bronze sculptures were commissioned by Albert Speer and intended for inclusion in a 240 meter frieze at the proposed Soldatenhalle, Berlin, These plaster cast copies were displayed in the Great German Art Exhibition of 1940.
