Ioan Bunus graduated from the institute of fine arts in Cluj. His work takes its inspiration from the technique of collage; collecting various types of paper, he puts them together, works over them in ink, incorporating handwriting, inserting letters dating from the last century and the replies to them in a timeless dialogue. These vestiges from the past are covered with symbols, words, streaks, stains, brushstrokes, traces of paint or paint marks, navigating a voyage to the heart of the memory and its history.
