Highlight for him during his career have been the creating of two commissioned sculptures for the home of basketball star, Michael Jordan, and doing the Athlete of the Century award for Mohammed Ali. He also does a lot of work for the Pentagon, mainly drawings to record the history of the Air Force, and unique, custom awards to celebrate different events and to capture portraits of outstanding military men. He studied industrial design at the Art Institute of Chicago for four years and planned to do sculpting on the side. He bought himself a set of torches, and taught himself how to weld and sculpt.
