    WWI : A bronze memorial plaque for William Ernest Lee , 4 3/4" in diameter . The memorial plaque , of which over one million were produced , was designed by Edward Carter Preston ( 1885 - 1965 ) , painter , sculptor and medallist . He was also responsible for the designs of the newly formed Royal Air Force's gallantry medals dating from June 1918 : the Air Force Cross, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Force Medal and the Distinguished Flying Medal Please Note - we do not make reference to the condition of lots within catalogue descriptions.
