Chadbourne (Massachusetts, 1901-1971) oil marine paintings. 1st item: Oil on canvas painting depicting two ships and a tug boat docked along two wooden piers with remnants of snow, one having a small, wooden rowboat tied on it. Additional vessels are docked along the edge of the bay in the background, beneath a hazy sky. Signed in red " L. E. Chadbourne" lower left. Grogan & Company sticker label affixed, en verso. Housed with wooden liner in a speckled, gray-painted wooden frame. Sight: 19 1/4" H x 23 1/4" W. Framed: 25 1/4" H x 29 1/4" W. 2nd item: Oil on canvasboard painting depicting a ship and two tug boats docked along two wooden piers with an additional ship drifting behind the docked vessels, rendered in a soft pink light. Numerous ships dot the bay at the horizon with a distant coast visible in the background, beneath a hazy sky. Signed "L. E. Chadbourne" lower right.
