        2003-'04. Signed and dated lower left, titled and dated to verso. Chinyee is a first generation Chinese-American artist who came of age during the Sino-Japanese war in Nanjing. She came to New York through a Fine Arts scholarship at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, after which she received her MFA in Art Education from New York University. Her works were first exhibited at Mi Chou Gallery, the first gallery for Chinese artists in New York City, which is well known for its exhibitions of masters Qi Baishi and Chen Qikuan. From a Dobbs Ferry, NY estate.
