Künstlerinfo: französischer Eisen- und Bronzegießer (1813? bis 1892 Paris), in St. Petersburg tätig und Lieferant des Zarenhofes. Quelle: Internet.       This is a bronze bust of Rus Prince Andrey III by famed French sculptor Félix Chopin (1813-1892). Chopin, who had moved to Saint Petersburg in 1838, designed many impressive bronzes during his lifetime, including a series of busts of Russian rulers, of which this is an example. The bust is set atop a porphyry column. Chopin's signature and a commemorative mark with the year 1868 can be found on the back of the bust.
