    Wilhelm Claudius 1854 Altona – 1942 Dresden Zwei Bleistiftzeichnungen / Grafitzeichnung. Zwei Arbeiten monogrammiert "W C", ausführlich datiert und betitelt. Eine Arbeit mit dem Nachlass-Stempel des Künstlers u.re. versehen. Jeweils auf Untersatz montiert. Wilhelm Claudius 1854 Altona – 1942 Dresden 1871–74 Besuch der Kunstakademie in Dresden, 1876 Wechsel an die Berliner Akademie. Ab 1879 wieder in Dresden. 1884 wurde er Mitglied des Malerkreises "Goppelner Gruppe" und beteiligte sich an den Dresdner Sezessions-Ausstellungen. Seinen Unterhalt verdiente er sich mit Illustrationen, was ihn zu einem der gefragtesten Illustratoren Ende des 19. Jh. machte. Um 1900 wandte er sich verstärkt der Malerei zu. Freundschaft und Zusammenarbeit mit Carl Bantzer.

Keilrahmenleiste in blauem Farbstift wohl von Künstlerhand betitelt, nochmals signiert und bezeichnet "(Claudius) Dresden". Im originalen, breiten Wellenleistenrahmen des Künstlers gerahmt. Auf diesem verso nochmals in blauem Farbstift signiert "Wilh. Claudius", ortsbezeichnet "Dresden" und betitelt. Auf drei verschiedenen Etiketten stempelnummeriert "71", "164" und "4252" sowie mit dem Ausstellungsetikett der Englisch-Deutschen Ausstellung, 1913. Darauf in Feder mit dem Namen und Adressdaten des Künstlers versehen sowie betitelt. Wilhelm Claudius 1854 Altona – 1942 Dresden 1871–74 Besuch der Kunstakademie in Dresden, 1876 Wechsel an die Berliner Akademie. Ab 1879 wieder in Dresden. 1884 wurde er Mitglied des Malerkreises "Goppelner Gruppe" und beteiligte sich an den Dresdner Sezessions-Ausstellungen. Seinen Unterhalt verdiente er sich mit Illustrationen, was ihn zu einem der gefragtesten Illustratoren Ende des 19. Jh. machte. Um 1900 wandte er sich verstärkt der Malerei zu. Freundschaft und Zusammenarbeit mit Carl Bantzer.
