      Oil on canvas scene shows two figures knee deep in water. One with bundle of sticks, the other with basket on head, walking across water to a group of four cows. Large trees and rocky shoreline. A rock cliff is seen in background beyond the lake. Birds fly against a cloud and blue sky. Signed lower right "JA Codman". Housed in a wide deep lemon gold antique frame. White chalk mark on back might indicate title of Echo Lake. SIZE: 18-1/4" x 24-1/4". CONDITION: Some inpainting, mostly in sky. Very good. 8-87412
