It measures c. 84 cm in height. Louis André de Coëffard de Mazerolles (1818-1887) Louis André de Coëffard de Mazerolles was born in Arveyres / Gironde and studied at the École de Sculpture de Bordeaux from 1838 to 1844, while he was a student of Dominique Fortuné Maggesi (1801-1892). He was then active in Bordeaux. During his lifetime, Louis de Coëffard was repeatedly awarded with prizes. His sculptures are today preserved, for instance, at the Palace of Justice and the Cathedral of St. André in Bordeaux.
