      William Frederick Colley (British, 1907-1957) Gypsies, 1935 signed, titled and dated in pencil (in the margin) lithograph in colour 37cm x 24.5cm. William Frederick Colley was a Birmingham based painter, printmaker and teacher who taught at Birmingham College of Art. He came to prominence in the 1930s and 1940s, and was known for his murals and exhibiting watercolours and lithographs at the RBSA, RA, NEAC and the Redfern Gallery.
