        Chet Reseson made a rig of these black ducks that were inspired by his good friend, Roy Collins. This hollow decoy with painted eyes displays a stylized bill, slightly turned head, and raised wing tips from a laminated top board.

        Roy Huse Collins was a Minnesota artist known for doing illustration work during the 1920s and 1930s. This circa 1920s work is signed R. H. Collins on the lower right corner and depicts a hunting situation much like those seen in Remington and Winchester calendar tops and posters of the period. Canvas size measures 30.25 x 21.25 with an overall measurement of 35.5 x 26.75 inches.
