Colom's Zee Atlas is among the rarest and scarcest of all folio sized Sea Atlases published in the 17th Century and one of largest format sea-atlases published in Amsterdam of the period.

      [The Pacific Ocean] Mar del Zur Hispanis Mare Pacificum. [Amsterdam: 1658]. Hand-coloured engraved map, highlighted in gold. Elaborate title cartouche with figures, and cartouche surmounted by arms, with dedication to Georgio Backer. An important chart of the Pacific from Colom's sea-atlas, Zee-Atlas ofte Water-Wereldt. The Latin edition, Ora maritima orbis universi, was first published in 1654, and a Dutch edition reissued in 1658, with a third edition containing this additional map appearing in the same year.
