      Esther Colton (1918 - 2017), nee Johnson, served Canada during WWII in the Royal Canadian Air Force, married Alfred Colton in 1945, and supported Alfred's art and education career while raising her children. An artist herself, she worked as an art teacher and instructor in Norquay School in Vancouver, Balmoral Junior High School in North Vancouver and Simon Fraser University. Her paintings have been exhibited in various lower mainland art galleries. Esther's kindness, humour, and creative energy have been a delight to all who knew her. The couple retired to Langley BC and pursued further artistic enterprises and community service.
