      Ramon Conde (Spanish (Galician), b.1951-), "Paternity", cast bronze sculpture with detachable marble base, inscribed in casting "Ramon Conde", edition noted on base 6/6. Figural bronze sculpture from the artist's Parternidad Series, depicting a nude male leaning forward as he embraces an infant (presumably his child) in his arms, figure sits on organic, abstract form, sculpture with detachable base of black marble with white veining bearing plaque with artist and edition inscription. Approximate height (including base) 9.125", width (measured across base) 6", depth (across base) 5.9". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Debra Daugherty, Atlanta, Georgia.

      Ramon Conde, born Spain 1951 Guardian Bronze resin 110cm.; 43½ins high by 120cm.; 47ins wide Born in Ourense, Spain in 1951 and aged 20 he joined the Faculty of Arts in Santiago, where his work was heavily influenced by studies of psycho-analysis, the theories of Freud and the importance of dreams. Shown at various international fairs and solo exhibitions throughout Europe, he has received many commissions for large-scale public works in Spain, Portugal and Mexico, including in the Senate of The Palace of Fonseca, Santiago, and he has taught as visiting professor at the University of Houston, USA.
