Lithograph printed on Arches paper with the raised printer's stamp in lower, left-hand corner. The image features Ivan Karp's blue Volvo, the founder of the OK Harris Gallery in SoHo, NY, as noted by his initials of "ICK" on the license plate. Mr. Karp was driving Cone around that rainy evening when he took the photograph that his painting and print would be based on. The Variety Photoplays theater, which was located at 110 Third Avenue in New York City, began as a nickel theater. Later, the theater showed adult films and was lastly used as an off-Broadway theater. The theater was demolished in 2005.
