        [BULLFIGHTING]: CONRAD III BARNABY (1922- ) American Bullfighting aficianado, amateur matador, author and artist. Interesting T.L.S., Barnaby Conrad, two pages, 4to, n.p., 25th March n.y., to Miss. Wilson. Conrad thanks his correspondent for their letter and remarks that he has just been "to the Virgin Islands with John Steinbeck and his wife and found them very virginal (the islands!".' He further refers to a visit to Mexico where he 'saw the last three corridas of Carlos Aruzza. Too bad he has quit, as he is the best in the world"' and also mentions other matadors, "Manolo Dos Santos is also retiring and I saw his last fight in Mexico last month (though he might have a few more in Spain). He was quite good, but has had both knees pulverized by the bulls. Pedres is a very sensational fighter, but of the new ones my favorite is Jumillano. Pedres, however, does astonishing things with a bull, things that no one has ever done before. Pero no tiene mucho arte" A letter of good content relating to matadors. Some very light, minor age wear to the first page, otherwise VG [TOREROS] CONRAD III BARNABY (1922 -) Aficionado taurino estadounidense, torero amateur, escritor y artista. Interesante C.Mec.F., Barnaby Conrad, dos páginas, 4to, s.l., el 25 de marzo, y dirigida a Miss Wilson. Conrad agradece a su corresponsal la carta y le comenta que acaba de estar "en las Islas Vírgenes con John Steinbeck y su esposa, y los encontró muy vírgenes (las islas!)". Además hace referencia a una visita a México, donde "asistí a las últimas tres corridas de Carlos Aruzza. Lástima que lo ha dejado, ya que es el mejor del mundo". y también menciona otros matadores, "Manolo Dos Santos también se retira y lo ví en su última corrida en México el mes pasado (aunque puede que toree algunas veces más en España). Era bastante bueno, pero los toros le han destrozado las dos rodillas. Pedres, es un torero sensacional, pero de los nuevos mi favorito es Jumillano. Pedres en cambio, hace cosas sorprendentes con un toro, cosas que nadie ha hecho hasta ahora. Pero no tiene mucho arte". Una carta con buen contenido sobre toreros. Algunos desgastes muy ligeros en la primera página por el paso del tiempo. Sin embargo MB.
