SP Cook is a Canadian born, Self taught, Artist living in Winnipeg with a life long interest in the Audio and Visual Arts. Self taught guitarist with some training with King Crimson founder, Robert Fripp. In around 2015 a thumb injury and subsequent surgery left him with recovery and therapy time, so he started painting on rocks. Soon he found he needed to switch his entire medium and hand made his own tools to achieve the Energy needed in his works. He considers himself to be a Figurative Expressionist... attempting to portray the inner complexities of Man, our multi faceted existence, Love/Hate, Guilt/Innocence, Triumph/Loss. His inspirations come from Confusion, frustration and chaos. His Influences come from such greats as Marshall Arisman, Francis Bacon, Alberto Giacometti, Goya, Piccasso and Van Gogh
